The South African Branch of the World’s Poultry Science Association (WPSA-SA) invites companies, research institutions, universities, and industry stakeholders to nominate scientific speakers for the 2027 WPSA-SA Branch Scientific Meeting that is scheduled to be held on 9 & 10 March 2027 at the CSIR Conference Centre, Pretoria, South Africa.
Our objective as the WPSA Committee is to host a conference where speakers present scientifically robust, innovative, and practically relevant content that advances the Southern African poultry Industry through advances in research, technology, nutrition, health, welfare, sustainability, and production excellence.
Nomination and Speaker Selection Process
Speaker nominations must be submitted no later than 15 July 2026. Following the closing date, the WPSA South Africa Branch Committee will review all nominations based on scientific merit, industry relevance, speaker expertise, educational value, and alignment with the objectives of the Association.
The review process will be conducted between 16 July and 15 August 2026, after which the Committee will finalize the speaker programme and notify successful nominees. Final speaker selections will be communicated after 15 August 2026. The Committee reserves the right to determine the final programme composition to ensure a balanced and high-quality scientific agenda that focuses on new original research independent of commercial products and addresses the interests and priorities of the South African poultry industry.
